Wooden, prefabricated buildings have many advantages over steel and concrete structures:

Wood structures have significantly better thermal properties than standard concrete or steel buildings. (Ecomodula offers sandwich panels containing thermal insulation with a minimum thickness of 160mm and a heat penetration coefficient of U = 0.27 W/m²k up to a maximum thickness of 390mm with a heat penetration coefficient of U = 0.11 W/m²k – these certified side panels are in accord with norm ČSN 73 0540 – 2). The peripheral shell of the building, composed entirely of Ecomodula side panels, meets 100% of the energy conservation requirements for thermal insulation. The desired inside temperature can be attained while bringing structural heating costs to a minimum.

Fire safety regulations are becoming more and more stringent; we at Ecomodula realize this and and are in full compliance with all the laws. As part of mandatory fire safety procedures, our certified siding panels underwent several thirty minute fire resistance tests - which they easily withstood. In this regard, our wooden structures are even more resistant than some metal ones, although this might not be immediately apparent.

The load capacity for buildings assembled from Ecomodula siding panels has been validated by an external project office and has been proved for panels equal to or taller than 6.0 meters, with a clearance height of 6.0 meters and a span of 20.0 meters or more using statistical calculation.
